Б day

On our Б day we learned that the words "butterfly", "ladybird", "paper"and "white" start with letter Б.
Here is what we did to learn our letter Б:
AbdulAziz did letters Б- big and small- on red paper with white play dough.

We made white butterflies- AbdulAziz glued them on the paper. Learned all the letters in word butterfly-[babochka], then read the word letter by letter.

Now look at our ladybirds [bojya korovka]. Second one he glued and draw dots independently. If you are wondering what are the lines on the upper part of the bug, AbdulAziz said it is ladybird's eyebrows :).We also read the word letter by letter.

In the end he played with white papers [belaya bumaga]. (Sorry, we use used paper, only one side is actually purely white, the other side has got prints.)

Alhamdulillah, we had lots of fun learning letter Б!

assalam alaikum, O, Ramadaan!

"assalam alaikum, O, Ramadaan!"-my mother in law's mother in law would greet the beginning of Ramadaan with these words and bow three times as to show the respect for this month. :). May be she thought Ramadaan was person like Umm Omar's Omar? ;)?
I hope everybody is happy and pleased with their time spent in Ramadaan. May Allaah accept all the duas that the Muslim Ummah is making in this blessed month!
It was very nice to see mom and dad! We also managed to visit some of our close relatives and drive to Andijan to see my in laws. All were happy to see us but very sad about us leaving so soon. AbdulAziz was also happy to see his grandparents and spent most of his time in our house yard running around and through the vegetable garden and splashing water all over himself and others! He was fascinated to see the grapes hanging from tall grape ladders.

His beloved grandfather climbed the ladders and picked the best grapes specially for him!

Today we had my husbands friends/brothers for Iftar dinner and tommorow, inshaAllaah, is for sisters. I took some pictures of food I made, inshaAllaah I'll put them in my future posts.
Have a beautiful Ramadaan!

I'm flying away ;)

assalam alaikum

Tomorrow we are going to two days trip to our hometown. My parents missed AbdulAziz very much, so we thought it would be good if we visit our parents before Ramadan starts even if it is only for 2 days. InshaAllaah I'll be taking only one backpack, I'm very happy for that. Normally we take 2 backpacks and one big bag for clothes and one normal bag for shoes. :)
So Happy Ramadan to all my Muslim sisters and brothers!

random things about me

  • I like to take a walk into every room of my house after I have done cleaning. I take a look from different corners or angle and love to enjoy cleanliness and freshness of my place. Sometimes I take pictures of it.
  • I don't comb my hair everyday. I like to have my hair half wet and comb it with my hands and make a crazy bump with very big scrunchie or just have it as a pony tail. I've got haircut last month and I look pretty with my hair down but it is hot like that.
  • I don't work, I'm at home most of the time. My husbands works 6 days a week but I have more clothes than him. I've recently started using his side of wardrobe. He doesn't say anything which means he didn't notice those blue hangers with long dresses. yet.:P ;).
  • I don't like ironing. I never iron clothes beforehand.I iron my husband's clothes in the morning right before he goes to work. I never iron our bed sheets and I only iron clothes that we wear outside.
  • My mom had taught me to rinse clothes almost until the smell of detergent was gone. So the hardest part for me in laundry always was rinsing. But we have washing machine now and it does the rinsing really good and there is smell of detergent there :) and I like it. I think my mom's rinsing habit is in her blood. My great grandmother doesn't have trust in her washing machine and rinses her clothes herself. She also says she has to rinse it herself because washing machine doesn't say "bismillah" before washing and she can't pray in those clothes. hehe
  • I know if some people read this post they would realize that I've on my way to become successful(may be not very successful) house wife. And they might feel sorry and might not understand why I have spent my time in college for 4 years.
  • When I first came in to my group in college one of the girls asked whether I was sure I was in the right group because it was Russian group. I smiled and said: "Да, я абсолютно уверена в этом :)" Later all of my group mates confessed that they were very surprised to see covered girl in their group who could speak Russian fluently.
  • I want to make Hajj/Umrah before I hit my 30's. I want to see Kaaba and pray while crying. I always think I will pray with strongest khushoo there.
  • I like spicy food. And I want to try sushi. I don't drink coca-cola and any other colorful drinks anymore.
  • If Allaah blesses me with another son I want to name him Yusuf. But my sister in law is pregnant and the other day she said if she'll have a boy they want to name him Yusuf also.
